Mitchell Moses take a bow

This guy has been on absolute fire.

He cops a lot of criticism from commentators, but it's been a long time since I've seen somebody playing as well as he is at the moment in a Blue and Gold Jersey.

When you combine him with the form for French, King, Brown, Alvaro and the kicking game of Norman it's a wonderful product to watch.

If the footy goods can be kind to us for the rest of the year with injures we should be able to rattle some cages in the top 4

  • Sterlo would still be 3 up on him.
  • Yeah he has never played better. He was outstanding last night.
  • I'm stoked that we now have possibly the best halves combo in the NRL and a spine that is right up there. Mitch Moses and Cam King are the missing pieces in the puzzle.
    • Cam has given a completely different dimension to our game with his kicking option. He's pretty smart too and punishes lazy markers running good metres.

  • It took a while before each of both Mitch and Corey found their role but they have now and all is good. Ever since Darwin they have both been improving out of sight with Mitch the dominant playmaker and Cory focusing just on his running and short kicking game.

  • How good is it to have a lightening fast halfback with the skill set this kid has. When he runs to the line he is destroying teams.

  • Mate I am loving Kingy being in there at 9, he's got a beautiful kicking game and doesn't mind a scoot out of dummy half either! He's been the missing piece for us IMO. He is a better hooker then Kaysa and what he has shown he deserve to be first choice next year.

    • I agree. Kaysa is more a "worker bee" but Cam has got the complete package to lead too. His much bigger and probably misses less tackles too although Kaysa is himself a tackle machine.

      • I think King offers more as a hooker, he's got a kicking game and running game as well where as Kaysa just simply passes the ball. IMO we don't need some who goes out and "throws" their body into the D line. All we need is a someone who does their job and does it well (king). If i was BA i'd be getting Kaysa back and just telling him to "settle it down" a bit. We don't need Kaysa going out trying to "Smash" players every week. IMO King is and deserves to be the first choice 9 going forward.

  • Fair enough. Well stated.

"I'm not suggesting throwing Lorenzo or any other young player in there now, they aren't ready, my point is they still won't be ready for a start in 2027 either so are we going to sign another 1 year stop gap 6 for 2027?."

"Thanks KN/ EA. Just checking my gut feeling. Hopefully, he stays & makes good on his potential. I like his upside: footy nous, big body, kicking game, goal-kicker. Ain't many sixes offering all that. He's called by many in RU as a "Sua'ali'i clone…"
