They bag Latrell for playing less than 10 games a year over the last few seasons. Statistically Moses is just as bad, if not worse because he's on more $
The 7 jumper is cursed , Sterling only played a total of 52 games in his last 5 seasons and its been down hill since with only glimpses of respite here n there since .
I think he's become super precious. Whether it's due to his or the clubs doings , who knows. But sitting out months with his sore toe as an example makes me wonder if he'd sit the same lengths out of it were a contract year or if he was paid per play.
This cork as an exapmle , he played the Origin game out without as much as a hobble. He ran it off after the initial contact and played the game out without hesitation. Then and there I knew exactly what to expect , I posted it on here , it's that predicable now .
And yet , when it comes to playing for us , nope ruled out , bugger playing for my salary when it's assured . People saying , oh well we have a bye round so it's better he rests ? Why ? He very well could've backed up and then had the fortnight to rest.
Players get injured , I get it , but every year as soon as this dude plays Origin, he or the club seem to think he's deserving of a nice break from his Eels duties. I feel Ryles is onto him though. He seemed very pissed off when asked about Moses not playing in an interview when Moses was ruled / ruled himself , out after game 1. Ryles probably gave me the first real indication it seemed to fall with Moses's camp. Well that and his miraculous return to health to go on Mals Kangaroo tour the other year after sitting the season on the sidelines.
He's a quality player, but his Origin first mentality is giving me the absolute shits.
Until Parra put some real talent around Moses we will never see the best of Moses.
Right now we are one step foward 2 backwards we took away Brown and Lomax rightly or wrongly and replaced them with lesser talent now I ask myself how is Moses and this team in a better spot?
Who did we recruit and spend the above mentioneds cap hits to make 1 Moses more effective and 2 make the team more talented who have we added that's helped that cause.Moses at 1.3 and the team performing like this 100% is a problem but I'd suggest the use of the cap that was available and lack of recruiting similar talent lost is even a bigger issue.
This seasons gone let's see how next year's recruitment class looks.Jaydn Sua is a promising start.
How we let Dylan Brown go without a replacement is beyond me. Yes they stuffed up his original contract with all the clauses in his favour. Heads should have rolled for that one, yet all management did was roll it under the carpet.
No half decent club would let go one of their top players without a back up plan. Can you imagine a club like the Roosters not planning 2-3 years ahead? The Roosters are already planning life after Teddy and anyone else in key positions.
As for Lomax, why the hell didn't we just let him come back? Clearly he was desperate to come back. Who did we have in mind to replace Lomax? Kelly? Anyone with half a brain will know that Rugby 360 will never take off and now with the new NRL TV deal, that increased salary cap will literally blow Rugby out of the water. Every young kid coming through Rugby will be wanting to switch to League knowing they will be on triple the salary.
The worst part is we had sooooooo fucking long to replace him too. We were totally cashed up, had a huge amount of time , and literally chased bums and were knocked back by them.
At the very worst , we should've seen a Moses / Sexton partnership until we found a better soulution.

💯 and Moses plays like a 5/8 anyway.
I was also thinking getting Drinkwater to play 5/8 alongside Moses when Cowboys let him explore his options. I believe that was his position in his junior years. The guy is a pure footy player, clever between the ears. But these losers at Parra have their heads in the sand.
"Yup another example . There has been umpteen examples , and that's exempting the bulk of the rumours I've which you'd have to assume a small number of had legs . "
"How about the re-signs that were on deals we had to either amend or went pear shaped ?

The fact Arthur had to go rogue to sign Lomax is all that's needed to confirm MONs needing…"
"I can't imagine the RLPA signing off on this, playing for nothing. They are trying to limit the amount of games they play.
Also, some will watch, but when playing for no points, most fans won't watch.

He doesn't care for Parra anymore. His heart is definitely not there and he's just raking in the cash doing nothing.
He has to be the highest paid in the NRL per game actually played surely?
