Rein's selection was met with a bit of "huh?" from me yesterday. Not due to Rein as a player but more so just "where do you put him?". Rein more likely will be used as an option in the middle that can fill on late in the game, where stats were brought up before by another 1EyedEel member. Also of course covering Mahoney, Rein having 207 NRL games never a mistake to add experience even on the bench. Rein is cutting NSW cup apart and deserves his chance, though how BA has used his bench i wonder how he would be utilised. Bit like Lussick last year when he was picked in round 11 & 12, came off the bench and just filled in at hooker for final 15mins, Rein more likely doing the same. It seems BA is wanting to rest his players during the year where he can. Last week he had Paulo and RCG play limited minutes, BA took the opportunity to give them a rest after a tough previous three weeks.
Also, this great for Hands who gets much needed game time in NSW cup. A couple of 80 minute performances can assist Hands who has missed a bit of football the last few years. Hands future at Parramatta is a lot more muddled that we thought it would be, but there is a chance he can stake a claim to be a future squad player for us in the future.

Talking about Hands the high light package from St George game looked like he had a good game.
Can any1 at the game watching give a update on him. He looked sharp if he was playing 9.
It looked like in the highlights that he was playing some Lock while Rein was on. Versatility is what will get you picked.
But looking at the NSW cup team, have Naiduki out and up comes Komolafe who looks good, Perham carving up, El-Zakham how he is not in the 25 man squad by now is beyond me.
Yup , I like it. Keeps Reed looking over his shoulder too. We've seen the masterstroke BA bringing young JA into 5/8th against Cronulla has done for Dylbros game. Can't let these guys get too comfy in their positions. Pushing Dylbro into the centre's was an absaloute stroke of genius straight from the Wayne Bennett Psychological playbook.
Well the Arthur power was so strong it caused Reed to sign with Canterbury to avoid future competition with Matt.
Maybe Reed doesn't think he's up for it since he'd rather play for a team that I could get a run at.
