Interesting stats Hilly, Interesting how these players were ostrasized in their development process because some of our armchair experts cannot read ability and potential,......
Interesting to go back over the past 2/3 years and read some of those comments.
I particularly take note of the stats continually quoted on Dyllan Brown last year and my constant references to how misleading they were. He was playing to instructions and was commonly the second player before the try assist and got no recognition for it, It was also a situation where many decided that he was a one sided defensive player with limited attacking ability. After Moses last year I always saw him as our best attacking back, even if he did only score two tries.
How many of these guys who see themselves as footy experts could say they would be able to get a job as a talent scout because they can see the potential of a player at his early stages of development.
I am really pleased to see Simmonson developing the way he is, I nearly wrote him off after the previous week's defensive errors but he is showing now that he has an ability that is very worth proceeding with. All young and developing players will have errors in them, its that initial ability we need to recognise and back. I saw things in his game on the weekend that I do not think Dunster or Russell could actually do and whilst I do not want to knock those two, I think Simmo has greater potential based on his size and speed. The speed aspect is something we haven't really seen yet and don't forget he can play centre and fullback.
Hey Poppa that was my argument about Dylan Brown all last year and going all the way back to 2019. I was the guy that had all the stats about Dylan contributing to tries depsite not getting assists. He was often first or second receiver in backline shifts that resulted in tries. Dylan is a killer and there's no denying it from anyone anymore! The kid can play!
Dylan Brown is a very good player and he wants to play rugby. There is a world cup coming up and he won't be the only one eyeing this up. Ask Brad Thorn.
Awesome. How good is that to see. Thanks for posting PFOTH
Moses has matured & improved again, even form last year. Great seeing him nail some really important conversions the last two weeks also, showing he's finally confident within himself in the big moments / big games.
Dylan, the best thing so far of 2022 for me & i am sure a lot of us. Best part is he is dominating consistently. We need to lock him & Penisini in a room & sign them long term.
We are getting better in a short amount of time, with a big roster turnover, a team full of youngsters and a massive amount of salary cap space available in 2026. Personally, I couldn't ask for more in his first season.*Side note, the game now due…

They are right at the top of their collective games
Cue all the haters who will still argue that both/either suck and we should have signed X player.

Love to see my boy Dylbags getting the recognition he deserves. Moses is awesome too. Well deserved accolade.
Simmonson had easily his best game for the Eels against the Raiders. He may have been intent on showing Ricky what he had lost.
I think the right wing is his to lose. What happens when Sivo comes back, I think Blake will go to left Centre pairing with Sivo.
Moses and Brown have been outstanding this season and must be signed prior to November.

It'd be a worry if he was available for the Wallabies. All Blacks have too much competition to convert DB.
The 2 players on the roster we have to prioritise keeping .
1. D Brown
2 . Moses

Well done boys, and Brad Arthur.
