Mitch Moses

What's everyone's verdict so far?

We're 7 from 9 since he's been at the club. Not a bad 2 months since arriving.

Is he the steady influence that we've needed? He seems to be the perfect fit for Corey who appeared to get his running game back on Friday night.

  • Been solid and steadily improving. I had low expectations but i'm glad I was wrong

  • Exactly - thats why the try that tepai scored on friday to get them back into the game was so good. The commentators didnt even realise it was a try. They though Mitch dropped the ball forward when he took on the line. He's always got them guessing and the way he has aimed up in Defence is a credit to him. he's obviously working really hard and seems like the type of guy you want to keep around the club.

  • Firstly I was wrong. I was critical of this signing but it just goes to show us fans clearly have no idea. As we all pointed out at the time we lacked direction on the right and Moses was clearly brought in to fix that side up. At the same time don't underestimate the importance of Jennings moving to the right as well. Jennings is a talker in both attack and defence and his experience outside Moses is without doub having a huge impact on Moses' game.
  • I don't think you can just credit Moses. No doubt the players around him have given him more confidence to take his game to another level.
    • Agree - collectively as a playing group they've all improved. And they had to.

    • I still think, to fully realise his potentially he needs to eat and hit the gym more.
  • Mitch Moses killed it on Friday night
  • I think he has a great success.
How good is it to finally have a pair of halves who can control the game.
    • When MM came we looked very disorganised. CN had just come back from a knee injury and they had problems since 2 maestro's co-coordinating is impossible.

Mitch became the dominant half make the calls and Corey has taken the role of 2nd fiddle and running the ball. Everything was so coherent vs the Broncos.

  • Been a great buy so far. Started a little slowly, which was to be expected, but has come on in leaps and bounds. Keen to see more of him in the coming weeks.

"I'm not suggesting throwing Lorenzo or any other young player in there now, they aren't ready, my point is they still won't be ready for a start in 2027 either so are we going to sign another 1 year stop gap 6 for 2027?."

"Thanks KN/ EA. Just checking my gut feeling. Hopefully, he stays & makes good on his potential. I like his upside: footy nous, big body, kicking game, goal-kicker. Ain't many sixes offering all that. He's called by many in RU as a "Sua'ali'i clone…"
