Yesterday showed me that we really missed Keving Kingston and his agression.
I think in that 45-65 minute mark where the game was really in the balance, his presence and mongrel might have got us over the line.
Im not a fan of turning halfbacks/5/8's into hookers (thats not to say they wont do a good job)
while robbo and kk have the potential to do ok in that fill in hooker role, i think we need need better than just "ok"
I don't think anybody in the Eels team last year had his aggression, mongrel and enthusiasm. We saw laast year how well the team played once Kingston came on.
My prediction is he will be the buy of the year for Penrith.
That being said, i thought it was a solid performance from the eels yesterday. We have a track record of usually getting pumped in round 1 games so yesterday a positive.

In my opinion he is a far superior hooker to Matt Keating.
Oh, and that kick by Keating with 90 seconds to go completely defied comprehension.
That was not the play you would expect from a first grade player... very disappointing indeed.
Apart from that I was quite pleased with the team performance.
he was our super sub last year!
