MINOR PREMIER'S

Can we win by 28 pts this weekend? If so we may be crowned minor premier's in March!! We've always found it a bit tuff up at CBUS.

I hope we can put on a show this time round, who here thinks this may be the last week of footy for a while if not the season?

  • I actually think we'll get beat. This club Over the years have done zero for my confidence in ANY game

  • Henry penerna is the ref.  Hates parra. The two worst refs for the first two games of the year.  Thanks nrl

  • We need to start with the same intensity we did against the Dogs. We do that we get the win.
If we start a bit flat, we'll find ourselves behind and playing catch up footy. This is what I can sense happening. 10 days between games, no crowd etc.

FYI yes I can't see round 3 going ahead. The Covid numbers are climbing exponentially, doubling every 3-4 days. We'll all be in lockdown soon.

    • Hi Muttman. The number of notifications have been increasing exponentially. I am skeptic that actual COVID  cases will keep doing this. Firstly I think the number of people tested has dramatically increased so the number of notifications will increase without any increase in cases. Secondly, the behaviour of people lately will make it difficult for any virus to maintain exponential growth when it keeps hitting dead ends. I think it's initially exponential growth should start to slow down by next weekend.

      • Really? I think it's the opposite. I don't think the reported  cases are anywhere near the actual numbers.
Whilst it's true that social distancing methods take about 2 weeks to show an effect on growth rates, the reality is that on a population basis the growth curves are reproducible and predictable the world over.
I look at www.health.gov.au. We're still showing exponential growth. Obviously I hope that we will see the curve flatten and avoid those stark numbers but there is simply no evidence currently to suggest that will happen.

  • Why is Perenara still allowed to ref is beyond belief! As far as the virus thing is going it seems the majority of fatal cases are the elderly who also had other illnesses.

    • Monto as more hospital beds are used for the virus anyone requiring hospital care will be affected. Young people will still have car accidents requiring emergency care, and the middle aged will have heart attacks (especially Parra fans when perenara refs), strokes and other issues.

I saw coverage on Italy's hospitals and it is chaos and yes mainly elderly at risk of death however when virus hits those numbers in other countries the affect will be different.

Obesity, heart problems etc are risk factors and for countries like Australia and US with high obesity rates and heart disease the age bracket of fatalities will be dramatically different

      • FM you are right in identifying the higher risk to others that are unwell in the community. The sister of one of my wifes workmates had a mild heart attack last week, and was sent home due to the stresss already placed on the health system.

        • Until something happens to someone or someone they know, most are oblivious to why such strict measures are being taken for what many still believe is a bad case of the flu

  • I think the Eels will be to good for the Titans, Eels by 10 or 12 points. Holbrook is a very good coach so over the season if it continues, the Titans will improve.2nd game up the Eels should fire to many shots. DB should have a field day coming up against Taylor and Cartwright. I HOPE.

As we all know, Zac Lomax has departed the club effectively immediately - Just 12 months into a 4 year deal. This loss cannot be understated, especially considering many of us fans were crying out for a winger of this exact mould for years prior.…
