MILLION-DOLLAR MAN
Parramatta star Tepai Moeroa signed on for another two years on a deal worth north of $1 million.
While it was always expected the lock would re-sign with the Eels, Market Watch can reveal Moeroa attracted serious interest from Manly.
It’s also no secret rugby union was a genuine threat with Japanese rugby a lucrative option.
Turning 22 in October, Moeroa has climbed the ranks of the Eels’ junior system from Harold Matthews Cup to the NRL and wanted to stay loyal by turning his back on other offers.
If this is true and we paid this much for him than we're idiots.

For a forward to be as good as he is at 22 (and consistently in the top grade), that is a massive achievement. He is certainly a long way from his potential, but next year you would think he would have vastly improved skills. It's probably overs for now, but it's probably the price you have to pay for his potential. We missed him when he was out, so that shows his value to the team.

500k a season sounds about right though?
