Michael Jennings Statement

The Parramatta Eels have today been made aware of the provisional suspension handed down to Michael Jennings under the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy.

Details of that provisional suspension and alleged breach of the anti-doping policy will be outlined in an NRL Media statement to be distributed today.

Michael Jennings has been stood down from today’s game and ongoing training/playing responsibilities while the process runs its course, which under the policy includes the opportunity to have his B-sample analysed.

The Club has been in contact with Michael and will continue to offer him and his family our full wellbeing support.

  • Anyone know more to this?

Hopefully it is a false positive.

    • His A sample has tested positive, awaiting the outcome of his B sample

    • Well you shouldn't miss a game unless it's confirmed

  • There goes our semi-final. Unbelievable

  • I would imagine BA can go beyond the reserves to pick a centre and who the hell do we put there.

optimism mostly extinguished for tonight 😢

    • Taka

    • BA dropped Haze Dunster off the 19 man list last night. Technically we have to pick from either Kaufusi or Alvaro who are the reserves? We are screwed!!

      • Can't they make exceptions in these circumstances? Obviously this wasn't expected.

      • I think you'll find the NRL will allow an exception in this case.

        • yeah spot on Brett - a like for like usually gets an exemption. Dunster will be back in.
