Michael Jennings Interview

Jennings: "A decision I had to make"http://yi.nzc.am/bdPoDtLike most fans on here I have been buzzing since the signing of Jenko, However since i finished watching this interview which goes for just over 8 minutes, I just can't seem to get this bad taste out of my mouth.Keen to hear your thoughts as I might be reading too much into it.I know he's not the sharpest tool in the shed but I really would have liked to see a bit more excitement about joining our club. It's like somebody put a gun to his head, it was almost uncomfortable to watch, tones of regret & referal to a decision "for his family" and no real desire to contribute came through.I understand it ultimately comes down to money, but ffs show a bit more class??

  • Yeah, don't think he appreciated being moved on at all by the Roosters. Fair enough I guess seeing as they did it pretty late in January having had 3 months since the comp ended to do something. You can sense he probably struggles a bit to wear the Blue & Gold coming from Penrith etc. At least he's honest. Wouldn't really want to see "I love the club, coach and fans" after 2 weeks. Like all new players he will warm to the place when he sees how passionate the fans are and he will actually have a stadium that is more than 1/3 full every home game coming from Allianz. Once you're on the field you give it your all and the competitive desire comes out so I don't see it being an issue. Especially if we win some early games.
    • Yeah fair call mate, let's hope so
    • Nice rational and probably the most true response about him

  • Fark that's it SACK JENNINGS.

    • I don't think that goes far enough Frank. SACK EVERYONE!
  • Just like all of us, he will sing for his supper and play just fine. If he starts to slack off on the field the boys and coaches will motivate him lickity split.......
  • I wouldnt call him charismatic by any stretch of the bow, but hes only been here for a week i thought he was being honest, hes never been good at talking in interviews, would have been nice to see him a bit more excited, but dont think too much can be read into this at all, he will be ready to go and fully committed, i fekking hope he is.

  • CRONK TO EELS
