  • we need to keep jennings ut takarngi is rubbish unless its a contract for 250k and under then its not worth it. would only be good for a back up. Tamou is trash would not prefer him over what we have

    • Release them both and blood some youth, they are the future of the club......... not Jennings or Taka.

  • We are thin for centres so Jennings would be a big help for a 1-2 year contract. Taka is a good backup who can play a number of positions, but his days of an NRL start are behind him.

Tamou's best days days are well behind him. I'd rather the club look to the future. We have Paulo and Brown as the experienced forwards (maybe Gower one more year?).

      • Good comment Poppa, it's a shame that someone like Mannah didn't stick around to finish their career in Reserve Grade for a few seasons helping the younger players along.

He may not be considered as 1st Grade standard but seemed like the type of person you would want around the developing players.

        • Tamou a maybe, Taka, Hoffman and MJ each off contract. Taka can play several spots, centre, 6 and forwards, on minimum contract for eels reserves next year, a maybe, Hoffman is a better pick for a reserve in the backs as he can play 1-5, one year minimum amount as reserve grade back up.  MJ yes for one more year as he would provide some stability with Sivo on his outside and a young player inside him, Salmon or Parry.

      • I have to agree with you Poppa, the so called experts here are so quick to knock a player because of his age but we all know it's what your made of. So many examples of this like Lewis he played his best towards the end, Smith tell me he not playing well for the storm, Cronk, Morris brothers, playing out of their skin, I thought he was unlucky to loose his state of origin spot. Yesteryears Lamb, Lyons, Pedro, Slater,  so older players might not have 10yrs or even 5yrs but they might have a good 2yr, that's all you want to sign a player for anyway. Gee a young player might need 4yrs to adjust to NRL.

Yes for Jennings he really being playing well, he still so quick. No to Taka, I just think players know they can get around him, Tamou only for the right price but I think he not the type we want. Graham would have been perfect, he is a leader, he never gives up, these older players just need a fresh start, it's why the Storm always gives these players a chance.

    • Haha 350k... There is no way he will sign for that! That is wishful thinking bro

      • he shouldnt be commanding anything more than 450-500

      • Just did bro

    • I agree, take it or leave it, he might get more $$ somewhere else but he is not worth more the 350-400k. He is the pharoah of fumbles, its very rare he catches the ball over the line and scores, very rare....  he frustrates me
