Michael Jennings

Are you happy with him this year for the money wee paying him?Does he want to play for us or did he just want the money.Gave away two penalties with high shots, his attack has gone missing, but his defense is ok.Maybe it's just me but I can see the other guys trying their arses off but struggling to see any passion with Jennings.Maybe I'm not being fair.

  • He's a lazy disinterested slug, dud buy IMO.

    • Thats how i described my ex missus
  • I disagree; he needs early ball like when we played Penrith. His defence is good IMO; and most tries came from the other side; and one through the middle which was a terrible read in defence. I think he's been good. But I a maybe a minority....I think it was a disappointing 40 mins; as we played so well for the first 40. Bit like the Sharks match....

  • The money we're paying him? U realise roosters would be paying some of that. He's had a few good games, but his defence has mostly been great. He's getting older, I can see this being his last contract
    • underwhelmed......

Maybe I expected more as a 'big signing'...maybe with a more consistent season with less crap we will see better??

  • Never plays with passion. Used to not train at Panthers. $600 he was a steal but BA learnt his lesson hence no overpaid Byplane.
  • I again am happy to go on record & said when the rumour came out, when he ended up signing that he was over it, or words to that affect, he did nothing in SOO this year, some reckon he has some off field issues, well I always thought he had on field issues as well.
When it was obvious he was going to sign I was hoping no more than 3 yrs at most.  How many said he was vital, he was the best signing of the year, he would be the  ! ?   With a centre of his quality we would be a real force, & the list goes on.

Even when we had the fulll squad he wasn't doing anything great, for mine when we had Taka next to Semi we had quality, no longer. Sadly no Taka & hasn't helped us one bit.
I s'pose he's likely better than Tootsie though.

  • Yeah hopefully, he's a classy player. I think with consistent better halves he'll get more of a chance
  •  i think he's been ok

  • He needs early ball; simple. When he was given this early ball against Penriff (and Canberra early on; check tape) he always goes well. Easts hardly gave him early ball. He is only as good as the quality ball he gets; origin? I am sorry but our forwards need to dominate and they should have; and we have chopped and changed the halves too many times.
