Message to the Players and BA

They may have taken away our points and some players may end up leaving our beloved club but this is not your fault.

You , as a team have already made us proud. You have made us a feared and powerful team again. We have beaten the very best of the competition.

Brad Arthur has turned the team into a family, a group that plays for each other, one that inspires each other to greatness.

You have shown that you have great pride in the club and that you will play harder when injuries come or when one of your team mates needed help.

It doesnt matter how many points they take off us, it doesnt matter what restrictions they place. You will keep playing the game we love and we will continue to support you.

Keep your heads strong, hit hard, run fast ...

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

  • Well said mate, I'm backing our boys all the way to the Grand Final.

12 from 15 is nothing! We were on track to definitely win the Grand Final, this is only an obstacle we need to surpass.

LET'S GO YOU GOOD THING!!! Stick together as a team and we will get through it!

  • Great blog, now is the time to get behind the team more then ever.  Fuck the NRL, Fuck Sharp and his board, fuck Fitzy,Fuck Spags.

    Go BA and the team.

    Blue and Golds for life!!

  • I've just listened to BA for the third time. His not giving up, the teams not giving up and after following the Eels for 50 years, neither am I. The NRL can take our points. The NRL can take some players, but they can't take our PRIDE.. We were all lead to believe that we were compliant with our cap for 2016, by the NRL. BA and the Team are Legends all and we should all rally behind them to show it.

  • 12 from 15! Lets do this!
  • I thought it was 14 last year?
  • Im proud of my team and this doesnt affect my support in anyway.
We can complain until we are blue in the face about the penalties but it is the players who need our support. The best thing we can do is come out in force for the next game in force and show them we are with them 1000%
  • Great blog. I'm massively proud of BA a day the team. Awesome bunch of people.
    • If any team can do it this one can !!!

" I understand the modern day theory.  It has to be the players that would work in the modern day game,  But the theory should include how a player from the say 80s would perform given the modern day technology and training regime.

"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"

"Can you define what era / year your modern day starts from.
I took Jarryd Hayne on your survey, but I also loved Luke Burt as a team man. Luke Burt reminded me so much of little Paul Taylor, did so much work but never got the credit he deserved."
