MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Dear Members,

Just a brief update on all things Eels as we round out 2015. Our team, including our new recruits, has been back in training since November 4 and together they are training the house down.

Our new training facilities have certainly been given the thumbs up from our players and coaching staff, as we are able finally to offer a training base that caters for all their needs.

It was great to see many of you at the open training session recently, and the team thank you for your fantastic support.

Season 2016 certainly looks to be a great opportunity for the Eels to re emerge as a team to be reckoned with. Celebrating the 30-year anniversary of the opening of Parramatta Stadium by being given the honour to launch the Premiership season is something we should all be proud of. Our March 3rd game against the Broncos is sure to be a great match with electric atmosphere, and we would love to see you there.

On behalf of your Board of Directors I wish all our Eels family a very merry Christmas and happy new year, and I look forward to seeing you all in 2016.

Stay strong, stay united, stay Blue and Gold.

Steve Sharp

  • Hopefully Santa brought him a toothbrush and an iron for Christmas.

  • Merry Christmas to all and to Steve Sharp. Steve, you said you wanted to make the place feel like a footy club again and after 30 years of being in the wilderness you have achieved your goal. I now feel like I want to go back and watch more games. Regardless of criticism, it does feel like a footy club again which is sort of the point of supporting a footy club. Thanks for turning the place around. Try and hand pick your eventual successor to be someone like Bill Moss. It has to be an honest man or we will quickly drop back to the dark days of no success. Best wishes

  • Dear Mr. Blunt...er...Sharp...merry christmas and all that jazz. I've been following the mighty Eels since 75 and seen the dark days and the best days. You've done a great job so far, fending off them twits from the oppistion and kept the B&G flag flying. I'm not a member and really don't want to be. But am still a very proud Eels fans and always will be (even will wear the Eels jumper while traveling thru Canada and Alaska to keep the spirit of our team going). I would like to wish you and the board a merry christmas and a joyful new year. All the best from Monster Eel #38 and his imaginary friends hugs and kisses (from Spanner and Paul, Mr. Sharp)

  • Its a shame there's no 70 year celebrations on this year. Look at what Penrith & Manly are doing. Fallen short there Parra
    • 70 years is weird. Not many organisations celebrate that milestone Let's aim for something extra good at the 75 year mark.
      BTW Merry Christmas to all.
