I had a "heated" discussion via online chat with them today - as apparently you can't call or email them until after Christmas. I was told there is a "hiccup" and "slight delay" with production, and they are trying to get everything out by Christmas. So I said "Are you saying I will receive it tomorrow?" and the reply was "Yes, at this stage we are doing our best to make sure you receive it tomorrow." Lots of talking in circles.
Try telling that to my dog when he wakes up Christmas morning with no Pet membership present to unwrap. Grrr....
You talking about Parra Eels, right? The same Parra Eels that are trying to beat the Dogs to 20k membership?
If you believe or want to accept some "slight delay with production" excuse, then go right ahead (not directed at you, Aimee). Our club has an atrocious record with how they treat members, and they needed to make sure the manufacturer didn't have any delays.
PS, Aimee, ask them for more detail. What EXACTLY were the production delays, why didn't they take steps to ensure it didn't happen, and what retribution, if any, are they seeking from the manufacturer? And WHO IS THE MANUFACTURER? Maybe even contact them to see if Parra's story is fair-dinkum.
I called into the memberships on Saturday to enquire about an additional ticket I requested and hadn't heard anything about. I was told that they were having some issues and that all members would be recieving an email about the delays. Didn't get one today.....
Looks like our new management are working a treat.
Same situation with me and my dad. Bought them in early November before any of this Race to 20K kicked off and have received nothing. Hopefully we get them either tomorrow or at least before February. I remember we had to pick up our memberships at the gate in Round 1. That was atrocious.
I've continually had issues with memberships and I've been a season ticket holder since 2006. Not once have I received my pack or even my card on time.
I can't believe how incompetent our membership team is, dealing with barely over 10,000 members at the moment.
I bought a membership with Liverpool F.C. this season and had my entire membership pack within 6 weeks and I was living in another country.
i was told on twitter they are trying to make them arrive by tormorow or if they dont u will be contacted by the membership team after christmas
The people sitting behind us that have been season ticket holders longer than us and next year will be our 14th year didn't even have membership cards and instead were given single tickets at each game, I think they might have finally been given the cards for the final 2 home games or something but it has been a farce for a long time. It seems Parra constantly use the same company that make the same mistakes and every year it's the same excuse of that company, which has never been named, is chosen to make next years membership packs. Surely it wouldn't be hard for a team the size of Parramatta to have a quick list of how many members and what sort of members they are to give to the manufacturer to quickly get out the packs.
I don't even care about the packs, all I need is a hat that says I'm a member of the Eels to add to my collection, my membership card that gives me entry to home games and discounts to the Eels store, and then a $50 voucher or whatever to spend at the Eels store. I don't care about keyrings, a journal with all the same statistics I've seen every year, the same "unique" message from our CEO, coach, and captain...I don't care about that.
So if (when) they don't turn up tomorrow, the club will contact you AFTER xmas to let you know that you haven't got it yet.
