What is it about this club ...The Team sheet against the roosters last night they should have been well beaten but they have only lost 3 and have played without Munster and Hughes for many matches....just amazed how they continually find a way to win for over a quarter of a century ....even when the big three left they are never have a below top 8 year .....Penrith and the Storm and daylight second.....
The football systems and team unity is so far ahead of everyone....We have tried and failed every time trying to replicate that at the eels and we again have rolled the dice with another Melbourne Allum...
It astounds me how good they are in a city that is not even big on our sport ......
PS: We still should of played St George in 1999 in the GF....but again chocked 8 points up from memory against the Storm ...another match I have purposly forgotten lol

Agree...::our mob the polar opposite and quite embarrassing!!!
It's very obvious to the close observer that the top teams always get 'special privileges' whether that's an easier draw or where they tend to play the teams that are a challenge to them at home. They also tend to get less scrutiny at the judiciary and you'll also find they tend to receive their "six agains' and/or penalties at crucial times in the game. If you look at the Penrith vs Dolphins today which went into extra time the Dolphins lost a player into the sin bin at the 74th minute. Nathan Cleary potted the winning field goal. It's also odd how Nathan Cleary has missed lots of games this year through supposed injury including the state of origin but comes back for the last most important games leading into the finals. Maybe it's nothing but just think about it
Meh....doesn't make Parra any less shit, they often snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, only have themselves to blame, therefore we agree to disagree, I can't make excuses for this group, because they gave up a couple of months ago, embarrassing
The Storm have great systems in place, a 5 star board and management structure and a a top tier coach.
Everything Parra doesn't have.
Coryn, it was reported that Ponissi was working with Madge through the origin series as his 'right hand man' too.
Success & winning just seem to be part of Franks DNA.
Agree he's want we need. But moving heaven & earth might not be enough Coryn.
He's said in talks he's pretty much found the home he always dreamed about there, his family is settled, and he's close friends with the owner(s) and Bellamy obviously.
He looks up to the organization and respects it too much.
What could we offer him besides more money? And a short term experience but he's already had experiences like us.
The only hope is if something happened to the leadership structures there. Say new owners or a new coach etc.
In that case, he's probably's more chance to land at Manly...he has history there and is a Sydneysider originally I believe.
Does Ponissi have a 'right hand man' himself, HOE? There must be someone who been there & has learned from him?
Yeah, probably, NOS. Good thinking. Even assistants have assistants these days. But I'm not sure who his PA or protege is, assuming he has one assigned to only him.
Ryles would be in the know you'd assume? And he might have ideas after the anti poaching terms, perhaps? The board seem wowed and enamoured by Ryles. Maybe theyd take advice from him even if it's a little out of his lane, perhaps?
Dunno mate. Are they even looking for more "experienced" admin-and-footy brains wise like they said? Brian Smith hinted or teased fans with the fantasy...
But/Or is their definition of "experience" helping Ryles different than ours? Is it just on the coaching team and not upstream? Would there be a clash with MON and Rogers' roles? Where are they looking?
Lots of questions...
Their actions will reveal all...
HOE, their translation of 'experience' terrifies me also.
I still hold hope for Brian Smith as you mentioned, otherwise, it's hard to predict who they are referring too there.
But, again as you said, that surely clashes with Mark O'Neill. A lot of questions still to answer for sure.
Ive heard Paul Mary Mcgreggor ...the horror
and it looks like MON and Rodgers are not going anywhere
cluster fuck in the making
