I just watched the sickening replay of Christian Welch twisting Papalii's lower leg! You have to be kidding me! After the Kafusi incident with Matto in the same game I think Melbourne need a good talking to and possibly a review on the style of tackling, they've always been grubs but this is ridiculous.
A big game, two intentional harmful tackles which could have resulted in a 2nd player going off and missing games.
seriously NRL headquarters need to get tougher on Melbourne before someone really gets hurt, we all know what happened to Alex Mckinnon a few years back and wheather or not you agree that was a Melbourne fault it happened by Melbourne so did Jarrod Mcrackon.
Matto might be out for a while, Papalii could have been out for a long time. I saw it live and thought it was a role of his ankle or MCL bend. It was disgusting play as was Kafusi.
Get tough V'Landys please before another person is wrecked by the storm

Really I thought he got fined?
He got fined for it.
Both happened in the second half.
Sort of like they were losing and got instructions at half time.
The Storm have been doing this stuff for years and basically getting away with it
I noticed on the replay too that Cameron Munster when running back after we had kicked downfield always managed to interfere with the chasers by getting 'stuck' in the defensive line just at the same time the kick returner was running into the line and quite close to his location. He did not run offline but the timing of it with him being in the line each time can't be a coincidence.
Melbourne are like the CCP of the NRL. Everyone knows they are doing the wrong thing but no one does anything about it. Seeing belamy say I didn't see anything in it made me want to knock his head off. King of the grubs.
2 weeks, seriously, Grow a spine NRL.
Would need a lot of postage stamps to addrees them.
So apparently Christian Welch apologised to Papa after the game and explained his attempted tackle. At least he acknowledged he was in the wrong.
Kaufusi on the other hand should have been sent off and suspened for a minimum six weeks. Bellamy saying there was nothing in it is bullshit.
You would expect any coach to support his player and not make matters worse for him at the judiciary. I was Anneasley's white washing that got me.
From what I saw when flicking through it, Annesley, in his weekly Monday morning briefing, which incidentally went for 35 minutes, did not mention the Kaufusi incident at all. He did find plenty of time to talk about the Gutho stopped play incident.
