In reference to this interview with Max Donnelly: https://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/nrl/eels-new-home-to-save-them-from-dud-anz-stadium-deal/news-story/91b120ed749731c84bfcccdb3d12f720
It's obvious Max is addressing primarily the cash flow issues and poor management of the cap, the football club and the PRLC.
a) the community owned football squad $$$ is covered by the NRL license that comes with a seasonal cap
b) the large losses Max has been on about have come from bleeding too much dosh from the community owned Leagues Club and our diminishing sponsorships
c) the management of the cap between 2012 and 2017 seasons (still impacting 2018 and 2019 seasons), and the multi-million $$$$ losses running the community driven/owned football club side of things have collectively caused massive issues (and we all know what they are- its been drummed into us constantly since Dennis Fitzgerald was booted out and the entrance of the disastrous 3P conglomerate of fucked-wits, all of it manipulating fans, members, staff, the club and the wider community to privatise our community owned and driven club
d) the community owned Leagues Club has recently spent multi-millions on upgrading its infrastructure, services, utilities, amenities, products, etc, to meet with the new stadium -----> from around April/May 2019 onwards huge (EXTRA) cash flow injections to roll into the Leagues club coming from fans, members and supporters of RL, Soccer, RU and from the community at large transmitting dosh into the PRLC too ----> Rock Concerts, Festivals, Expo's, Markets, Fairs, Carnivals, etc, etc....
e) saving $1mill by not firing Brad Arthur - all in the best interests of the owners, the Parramatta community
f) profitable lease arrangements to use the new Coliseum
g) drastically improving the above and below to gain super-dooper sponsorships on display at the new Stadium and elsewhere in the NRL competition
h) improving all facets that impact the running of the community owned footy club, this includes coaching, training, health and recovery, careers after footy retirement for players, recruitments, getting a professional center of excellence up and running and completed over the coming two years or so (we already have the site), and improving/professionalising all operations involving our Parramatta juniors, including our arrangements with Wentworthville
i) getting the best cap value $$$$$$ out of recruitment for our 2019 and 2020 seasons
Only an agenda driven idiot won't want see the big picture Max is addressing here.
All of the above improves our community owned BRAND, and from there, community owned SUCCESS, year after year after year....
And sure, if Brad Arthur fails next season, say somewhere between rounds 8 and 12, BA will be sacked or at best he will resign with dignity (no further payouts).
Can't see Max, Bernie and the board, all answerable to the community who owns this club, not having contingencies in place that will go with either direction unfolding during next season, 1) replacing BA or 2) renewing his contract due to success.
The coming review will tie into the big picture Max is addressing in this article and all the points listed in this comment.
All is good here....

So any of the above points are lies, are not factual, are unicorn material???
You can't see the long-term benefits of a strong, rich cash cow funding our footy side of things, if and when required??? It seems Max and Bernie are also keen on making the footy club self-sustainable down-the-line, once all these other issues currently tying up multi-millions of dollars, primarily expenditure and the cuts in expenditure impacting the footy side of things. It's clear from the forecasting/business plans of the 2019/2020 seasons, that Max, Bernie and Rachael Chippendale, Chris Dimou, Damian Dooley, Karen Olic, Bevan Paul, Nikky Van Der Meer and Sarah Young have budgeted millions of dollars to be injected into the footy side of operations. You have a problem with this too???
Thats a lot of assumptions to make out of a picture, i havnt said a word before this post.
Youve a great imagination choc.
You've placed a unicorn laying presumably dead or is dying on the ground being stroked by a MAN concerned over a fantasy, and this image is only referencing what I've posted as this blog and the comments forming the bigger picture where I'm coming from, so yes, there is no assumption going on here with you, and you have have posted a large volume of anti Max, Bernie, BA verbiage in this forum going back months now, none of this being the "great imagination" you have have implied. Facts are not a "great imagination" or a "unicorn".
Because i think you are dreaming froggy, you are living in a fantasy that BA will be a long term coach here, you are living in a fantasy to want to let this guy destroy our team.
Im sick of this club shooting itself in the foot, i dont give chances to fools, the writings clearly on the wall choc.
I've not implied that - I'm only for giving Brad every opportunity to learn and grow from the experiences he's had, much of it endured unfairly between 2014-2016. I'm all for stability, rather than sacking at will. Looking at all the circumstances, Brad Arthur proved his loyalty, passion and commitment to the Eels brand, and it was far beyond the norms of acceptable endurance that transpired between the 2014-2016 seasons, and with the top 4 finish in 2017, I'm giving Brad the 2019 season too, at least by round 12, to prove his final overall worth. If he can't deliver success in the 2019 season then it's "GOODBYE BRAD" with a huge smile and a lengthy handshake and a huge hug. He deserves this shot. I dream for Brad maturing out of everything he's experienced since the 2014 season began and turning all these turbulent events, much of it not of his own doing, into a top class coach.
Well in fact, if the board and co end up running the club anywhere near the professional, high standards the ape family delivers every year in running the large forests they are responsible for, then I will praise this jpeg and Snake for posting it here in this blog before the end of the 2020 season...

Yep, lets waste another year or three Froggy, sounds like a great plan.
