Mautalino may be squeezed out if warriors want foran

I heard on talkin sport yesterday that the Warriors were considering letting mautalino go to free the space up for Foran? Has anyone else heard more on this? What do you think about making a play for him. I think he is a great prop and would thrive under a change of scenery?

  • That a big yes for me we need more props

  • I think we have 4 atm however we don't have that style of prop, big lanky with speed and an offload... At this rate vave might find it hard to get into the team considering we already have, wicks, Alvaro, mannah. I really rate Alvaro, he is a traditional prop that goes all day
    • x2
I think Alvaro's performances were highly underrated this year. I would have him starting before Mannah
  • Yep, great player.
  • I see us as having quite good depth in Propa with vave and brown, especially when you consider with mannah wicks vave brown and kaysa/degois Scott tep and mau we only have one remaining spot for Alvaro, Edwards, terepo, Gower or Obrien with the rest missing out despite being first grade quality. That's before we start mentioning solid Wenty players and jrs coming up such as kelepi and Nelson.
So as much as I rate him, I wouldn't sign him as that's not our priority position right now IMO
  • Pass..........next!

  • wouldn't go out of the way to sign him because he would require big cash. But if we ended up with him I wouldn't be mad.

  • I think he would be a good offloading prop that would fill Paulos exit
  • He is a top line prop when playing well, depends how much the Warriors are willing to tip in.  BA could do wonders with him.

    • Awesome, now ask ask, is prop or a forward really a weakness? Spend more money on a prop or find a half and hooker?

"Well Ryles was adament, even after Smith debuted that he wanted a 2nd Hooker. Tried to get Brailey for a while.
He must see Smith as something else. But i do not see him signing Da Silva on decent coin and for so many years just to be a 14 or…"

"Da Silva is a potentially elite dummy half. He would already be on very good money, probably $600k+ and will eventually be taking the majority of minutes at dummy half. Perhaps as early as 2026. Smith might start every game but could end up only…"
