Matty Johns has revealed Parramatta star Dylan Brown’s classy act after the five-eighth took some convincing to appear on his TV show.
The Parramatta Eels five-eighth was appearing on Fox League’s panel show Sunday Night with Matty Johns, when the host himself pulled back the curtain on what happens in the world of TV.
NRL players are invited to come on the show for a small payment, and Matty Johns revealed Brown had donated his entire fee to a good cause.
“Now I don’t want to embarrass you (Brown) but when people come on here — you wouldn’t believe this — they get an appearance free,” Johns said.
“Player managers, it’s not a lot, but you get an appearance fee and Dylan is dedicating the whole fee to Ronald McDonald House. Good job, well done mate.”
The panel of Johns, Nathan Hindmarsh and Bryan Fletcher, along with the live studio audience, all gave Brown a round of applause.
On the field, Parramatta defeated the Wests Tigers 28-20 in a tough battle at Leichardt on Saturday.
The NRL’s split bye rounds have concluded after round 18 and the Eels will next take on the New Zealand Warriors on Friday night.
The Eels are currently sixth on the ladder, just one win outside the top four.

apologies for a positive story 😂
Haha give them time, Rock. They'll be analysing each line of this to find the negative, its there somewhere, if you look hard enough.
Seriously awesome from Dylan, although a bit spacey at times, he really does seem like a good dude.
Did he mention anything about resigning?
hahaha your right nos :-)
didn't catch the show unfortunately. but i hope he didnt mention resigning, more re-signing lol
This one will really test Chief out, Rock. This might be his biggest challenge yet.
Maybe Dylan chose the wrong charity? Maybe he should've been training instead of going on TV? Could this need for fame attitude be rife amongst our club? This is what happens when you have no juniors coming through. Is this a sign that BA has lost the dressing room?
Haha definiteliy re-sign option please.
If you look through the history of the Fox shows, this is the first time in 6 years that a Parra NRL player has appeared live on any of their talk shows. There is an obvious problem here in that we have not been developing TV ready talent. With our player base we should have hundreds of TV ready players. This is all BA's fault.
Hahaha excellent, MeelK.
love it!
thats the exact type of comment the chief flip flopper will come up with 😂
Yes well I heard Dylan had shares in the Mc Angus burgers and mc cafè.. Im mclovin it.
Hahaha so Dylan is purely trying to turn a profit off these kids, I knew it.... Love it Chief.
Lol absolutely spot on . He's definitely the capitalist old Dylan. Extremely savvy boy.
