Matto in doubt?

According to NRL Physio on Facebook, Matto has a rib cartilage issue and is in doubt this week. NRL Physio is usually pretty accurate.

  • Rodwell or Marata to start with Brown onto the bench

  • Niukore will start and Brown to the bench, easy swap.

Unless BA wants a back-rower on the bench he can just start Brown. Rodwell, Maka and Oggy are all middles, putting Brown there would make it 4 middles on the bench.

  • I wonder if this is one of Matto's short term injuries that becomes half the season on the sidelines.

    • His body is a temple, god is his compass.

      • Matto lucky he didn't play SOO then.  There's to much to risk. He has signed hasn't he?

    • Was thinking the same.

  • Unbelievable. As much as I like Matterson as a player it really amazed me how a lot of players perform out of their skin when a new contract is looming but as soon as a new contract is signed they seemingly get short to long term injuries.

    • It's called being injured...nice spin on the story.

      • Just observations of similar cases in

    • So are you saying after signing a new contract, he got injured on purpose or is faking it?
