We may not even have the space to fit him in, but it seems he is desperate to stay in Sydney. He could come cheap and despite what others may think of his off the field character, he is a quality Prop forward, nice compliment to Paulo and RCG.
But that is the issue, his off the field and at times on the field antics makes him very undisireable. Could a one-year prove it deal be worth it? well perhaps, it is never a mistake to add talent and Lodge is a talent, one-year low risk with more reward for cheap deal. People will automatcially take them off their board due to his past and what he did was awful and i agree he deserved the punishment he received. But taking it for it is worth, is it worth having on the bench for 2023 on a one-year deal?
I am not saying we should or shouldn't but if it was a one-year deal we consider then i would not bat an eye.

With Ice and Nuikore and Oregon and Stone leaving we are down on middle forwards. At the right price yes.
One-year deal, if he misbehaves or is an idiot on the field then piss him off at years end. Wanting to stay in Sydney is an incentive for us to dangle over his head. Granted there are a lot of Sydney teams but i think being at a 'good' Sydney team would be better. I could see the Roosters taking him on with their ageing pack though.
We have enough props.
We need to sign a quality hooker to replace Mahoney.
We still need props for 2023. We have a few leaving.
At the right price, I'd take Lodge for sure. He bends the line and can offload. He'd fit right in to our attack.
Depends what our pipeline looks like really. If Hollis, Greig and Rodwell come through then I don't think we're in the market for Lodge. Not to mention he hasn't played virtually a full season since 2019.
If our prop rotation looks something like Paulo, RCG, Greig, Hollis, Rodwell, Makatoa I don't think Lodge would be needed. If you wanted more NRL experience then I'd go out and look at a guy like Bunty Afoa or Emre Guler.
SE Hollis seems to be a bit of a disappointment, hopefully a late bloomer and victim of limited footy, but you have Peter Taateo who is a year younger player regular NSW cup and Hollis is stuck in jersey flegg after a handful of average NSW cup performances. I think Hollis atm is a wasted top 30 spot and is way down the pecking order of Ogden, Greig, Maka and Rodwell.
Hollis could be moved on at years end, he is signed til 2023.
But four props in a 17, having RCG, Paulo, Lodge and Greig/Maka would be great, BA usually likes having a third middle player on the bench so you can have Maka and Greig with Lodge. Lodge is impact where Maka for example is better suited as a starter where Greig is an impact prop.
Not saying we will buy Lodge, he does not fit our no dickhead policy but one year deal BA could get something out of him, he does like him as a player per reports when we offered him massive coin before getting RCG.
I agree, no ty
Definitely need more props, Hollis has failed to rise to first grade standard, rodwell has been playing lock ( yeah, yeah it's a middle forward but not the same these days) kaufusi is going, Grieg is yet to show he is a quality bench prop and makatoa is solid. We could do with a third starting quality front rower on our bench this year. When paulo and rcg go off we lose momentum.
Hollis is 20 and has barely played in 2 years. Ease up on him. Most middle forwards take a while to mature.
Though SE i wish he would at least be in NSW cup by now, especially having a top 30 deal now for two yaers, should have debuted by now. I feel his development would be better off the bench in NSW cup.
