My god yes, i thought this last night literally as i heard on NRL 360 he had been given an immediate release. We were in the box seat to get him, we tried to get him in 2018 i believe then he stayed in Brisbane. We went for him again last year but he thought the grass was greener with the Roosters. He only missed out on a GF and having a deal at a club that wants him past this year. Had we not got Ofahengaue i reckon we would have dipped our toe in but now we have no use for him. His loss, now his career will go backwards with Canterbury and will fade into obscurity.
But have to wonder, he left Brisbane on bad terms, declined big money to come to us we gave it to RCG anyway, then left Warriors after a fall out with Cameron George though living in NZ was a factor too, now kicked out of Roosters. Have to wonder if he is still an awful club man.
The Eels don't need him and he is basically the same age as Jnr and RCG. If he was about 4yrs younger maybe but the Eels are better off focussing on our young up and comers. They would be cheaper and have more long term benefits.
"Roosters and these "wheelin and dealin" clubs can have their fun.
We are very conservative with our financial approach especially now and I think we'll stay that way and we should.
The figures like Politis and Gould that the media masturbates over…"
"Never listened to his (or any other) talk back radio. He seemed to be good at what he did though and I remember my grandmother loved his show.
Good innings. RIP."
"Bernie Gurr mmentioned back in 2017-2018 that the club had done some serious reputational damage in those torrid times. Now I'm guessing here but if the reputational damage still hasn't been fixed over that time then the field we are playing on vs…"

Yes, but he had his chance to come here, now he can go anywhere he wants but not here.

I'd take him, you can never have too much power forward depth, particularly if you are a power running team

No way!!
Never rated Lodge or saw what the fuss was about. Doesn't particularly bend the line, decent work rate but he's not worth big coin.
I don't think he'll get big coin from anybody, but for 250k, I'd add him to our middle rotation
Whats amazing to me is the imbeciles are the same ones that wanted to sack O'Neill and BA.
Watch out this weekend if for any reason the Dolphins knock us off, they will be back out!
Why is he leaving Roosters - thought he was happy partnering JWH
Wasnt the case that the NRL wouldnt accept our offer , wasnt market value or along those lines , rather than him not wanting to join us ?
