PARRAMATTA have made a tentative approach to sign Warrington and former Australian centre Matt King.
The Daily Telegraph understands the move was made recently when the Eels became aware Timana Tahu would not return.
King's manager George Mimis raised the issue with Wolves management but the Super League club quickly dismissed any chance of the ex-Melbourne star being released early.
It leaves Parramatta cashed up but with little centre depth available on the open market.

Wont happen all though it would be a great buy
I'm putting this in the trash just because it's a disgusting piece of journalist from the Telegraph. How do they say he is "in line" to replace them, and then when you get into the story say that he won't be released. No reflection on your posting Abbz its the original source that's trash
Gotta love the contradiction though, haha.
In all seriousness though, the likelihood of him being released is slim at best, and even then, Wolves won't let him go.
Even King's comments go against the grain of the article.
Is he really that good anyway?
They reckon King is on like 300,000 pounds. Why would he want to get out of that?
I'm quite sure, we're likely to end up with a fringe first grader in that position - there just aren't any other options. We're obviously going to have to fast track Loko.
I guess if push comes to shove, that's a big gamble to have to take, but we may not have much of an option at this rate.
Loko will need to improve on his defence, fitness and commitment for the 80 minutes greatly for him to be even mentioned as a replacemnt for the centre position. People who are calling for him as a replacement have obviously never seen him play or do not understand the change of levels from NYC to first grade. Ive watched many of his games closely, and while he may have a very bright future. He still has many things to work on. His defence especially in a game against the warriors was found out numerous times where he was caught out of position or missing lazy one one tackles. I would test him in the trials because i think the main problem last year was his fitness. Which should improve immensly in the off season. But i think the starting centre will most likely be atkins, because he is virtually the only player at the club with first grade experience at centre. Or filinga if he can get his fitness up over the off season.
