Mateo was the best offloader in 2008 because of his risky passing. It's one of those things where there is a fine line between brilliance and stupidity, a very fine line. Unfortunately to be the best you have to take BIG RISKS, thats just the way it is?
Mateo pulls off way more than he fumbles. Imagine Daren Lockyer, Jonathon Thurston, Scott Prince if they didn't force the pass and they do get it wrong on occasions.
I know its scary when he does it and it wasn't needed but you win some you loose some. I think he wins more than he looses?
