Mateo & Co. have to learn to hold the ball.

Ok this mite be a issue some people will disagree and agree with .. Ok, we score off offloads everywhere around the paddock but yesterday some players threw shocking passes that coulda went to the opposition. Mateo threw one to no one ; We were 10m out and i was like 3rd tackle ; Why couldnt he take the tackle ? He threw it to no one and the cowboys player was inches from getting it.

  • You mean "Mateo & co. need to know WHEN to hold the ball." Right?

Our second phase play is what makes us the team we are.
  • He will learn dont worry.
  • Yeah, I like how we play, it's exciting and fun to watch. If we miss a couple then it is to be expected, but we have a lot of time to get it right before the grand final again.
  • You are right that Mateo with his handling of the ball. But the fact that he is so unpredicable I do not think is something he will ever stop doing. He does throw some hand grenades but like last night the inside flick pass to senf Tahu over the line was special.
  • This really is a silly post, sure there is a few bad passes here and there but without the gusto to push the boundries Parra wouldn't be the team they are?

Mateo was the best offloader in 2008 because of his risky passing. It's one of those things where there is a fine line between brilliance and stupidity, a very fine line. Unfortunately to be the best you have to take BIG RISKS, thats just the way it is?

Mateo pulls off way more than he fumbles. Imagine Daren Lockyer, Jonathon Thurston, Scott Prince if they didn't force the pass and they do get it wrong on occasions.

I know its scary when he does it and it wasn't needed but you win some you loose some. I think he wins more than he looses?
