How did I not know about this sooner? The NRL match review committee are making this short videos where they explain some of their decisions. They're posted on the official NRL Facebook page, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere else, such as the NRL website (not that I looked that hard).
I've just watched the video for week 3. I haven't yet watched the videos for weeks 1 and 2 yet... I just couldn't wait to post it so everyone else here knows! The videos and their explanations are an absolute joke! They seem to make random calls like tossing a coin... Ah, that dangerous tackle from Greg Bird was not intentional. Because he's a good and fair player... Duh....

Thanks for posting this although it just mystifying at how they come up with this total BS.
SHAME on you Michael Buettner!!!
Can anyone that believes Jnr's tackle deserved even a few weeks, please explain the difference as to why Birds tackle was let off scott free...because these MRC turkey's have more or less explained that Bird's tackle was accidental and not intentional.
Ridiculous as it sounds, in the end Jnr was penalised for being too strong he wrapped him up ball and all in a legit way and he did not put any undue pressure on his head and head no intent...just like they state here in the circumstances as for the reason Birds was dismissed.
'Concerning Act' puhlease.
This NRL review committee is becoming a joke.
Yeah I know Frank.
I used to think they were a joke too, but with each passing year I am now beginning to think that they are more biased and discriminatory actually.
I am not hahaing at them anymore :(
