We suffered an early blow when two of our team were left off the 1Eyed table and were forced to play out the remainder of the evening on another table - a situation akin to finding out you've been dropped to Wentworthville just before the final series. However, our spirits were soon restored when we arrived at table 16 to find Feleti, Junior and TK had been added to our squad. Given Feleti sits proudly atop the 1Eyed masthead it was only fitting that he became part of Team 1Eyed and we were soon more than happy to have Junior 'The Professor' Paulo on board, as he nailed a couple of tough answers in the food category and we started the night with a perfect ten out of ten. We fared reasonably well in the proceeding rounds, missing just one or two in the Geography, Yay or Nay and Entertainment categories. With Parraloft making good use of his UK heritage and advanced years .-) to snag a couple of ball-breaking questions, we came into the final round on the edge of eight, but all of those teams above us had played both their jokers (the rounds where you scored double). With ours yet to play in our favoured Sports category, we were feeling quietly confident, especially after we breezed through that category thinking we'd nailed each and every one of our final ten questions. We did, but alas so did Team Babsy, and we were left lamenting not knowing that a Buff Orpington was a chicken and not a midget horse. A bit thank you to everyone at the club who was involved with putting the night on. It really was a fantastic event, a great way to mingle with the players and extremely well organised. Kudos to Ringomitch who organised our team. And of course, massive props to Feleti, Junior and TK who really made the night so enjoyable for all the 1Eyed crew!

Alas, though, other results did not go our way and we finshed just outside of the prizes. Hopefully the same thing - other results not going our wasy- does not rob the eels of a finals berth this year.
We did all chuckle that our Toyota Cup player - Brad Graham - did not know who was known as Mr Perpetual Motion!
It was a good night. 1 eyed, i really think you guys got ripped off, how would anyone know the exact answer. i smell the use of google here.
