Parramatta has managed to snap a 13 game losing streak for the Sharks as their woeful start to the season continued with an eleven to nil loss.
The Eels just never looked like putting points on the board. Admittedly, rain made conditions tough but the Eels failed to adapt their play and the Sharks outgritted them to record their first win of the season.
There was one late change to the Eels side, with Ben Smith missing after injuring his ankle during the week. That saw Justin Poore shift up into the starting team at lock while Justin Horo came into the 17.
The Sharks had the better of the play throughout and had a couple of opportunity to kick for goal. Instead they looked to score but couldn't get the ball over the line as the Eels goal line defence held.
We only had one real chance to score, but a try in the corner was disallowed with Jarryd Hayne's final pass adjudged to be a forward pass.
With both team unable to take their limited chances and few opportunities due to plenty of loss ball, no points were scored in the first half and we went into the sheds probably lucky to be level pegging.
Eventually, the Sharks were able to take one of their chances when a play down the right hand side saw a try scored in the corner. Tim Smith couldn't convert but the Sharks extended their lead with another try down the same side, with Nathan Hindmarsh embarassingly fended off when coming across for the cover tackle.
A Tim Smith penalty made it ten and then landed a field goal on the buzzer to complete the upset victory.
Once again, we were both out enthused and out-executed. Daniel Anderson must take some action in our halves which once again provided zero penetration and little direction. The only positive aspect from the game was a couple of strong performances from Justin Horo and Brendan Oake, who both showed contributed good contributions off the bench and will have Daniel Anderson breathing a little easier about our second row depth.

Well done to Albert Kelly , Tim Smith, Josh Cordoba, Talima Tautai and John Morris for making us look like a bunch of dickheads out there.
WAKE UP PARRA. u boys are making Parradise look like a genius.
I seriously dont know how ANDERSON will fix this at the moment. We are playing worse now than we did in the fiorst 6 rounds last year and that is saying something. Thought HORO was ok and will get better. INU not interested and we are flogging HAYNE so much as the go to man.
Not good boys.
How much are we missing Kevin Kingston!!!!
