Matagi

Why hasn’t the been playing all year?

he runs the ball at top speed, can offload, and can put on a hit.

not the biggest forward in nrl, but neither is n brown

  • Because matagi as shown last year and when he was at penrith is capable of that then nothing for a few weeks and can be lazy around the ruck its why hes been in and out of 1st grade his whole career
  • Agreed. Just hasn't been anywhere near consistent enough but is good when he is on.
  • He can also ball play a little which our other middle forwards (aside from brown) don't offer.

I thought he was good in the trial against newcastle and truthfully I was pleasantly surprised but then he offered nothing in the early rounds. Maybe he had a niggle.
  • I like when he goes to the line on occasions possibly draw in a few defenders and spins and passes back to a half
  • Because his first couple of games were shit. Did play well last week and the stint seems to have made him pull his finger out
  • He's so bloody frustrating. He'll now play like shit for the next few weeks. I just can't figure him out.
All last year he was rocks and diamonds. He really seems to struggle with motivation. When he looks angry, he's a wrecking ball.
  • Because his form was crap and needed sometime in wenty for confidence. Exactly like Evans now.
  • Something about Matagi i find so refreshing and respectful, is he loves his fans. If anyone follows him on facebook will know, he comments back to most posts and thanks his fans. He is very religious too. His below par form has been paining him, can assure you. He openly apologisis.
    • Yep he is also on linked in and some of his posts are inspirational to young players and also life in general and he is honest in his assessment of himself and very grateful, you see a completely different side to rugby league players.

  • Rotating our forwards seems like a great idea. We have plenty of depth. Keep them all on there toes.

Moeroa may be looking at some time for Wenty.

I thought Terepo was really good too. I'd rather him starting then off the bench.

Give his hands some time to warm up.
