I am so sick of players playing the ball and interfering with the markers by pushing forward, falling forward, running/walking/hoping/jumping etc forward into the defender at 1st marker. It destroys defensive momentum. I don't understand why they don't penalise sides that do it. Maybe I'm just annoyed Parra don't seem to do as much as I noticed other teams doing it. I dunno, just someone please fix it. It's so annoying.

I agree. I've seen instances where the guy playing the ball takes a step to the left and 3 or 4 forward playing the ball beside the marker whilst the marker stands his ground, throws his hands in the air and the refs just let play go. I've even seen some players dive then roll then crawl then stand up take another 5 steps forward push the marker then play the ball gaining an extra 1 - 2 metres and nothing. Totally pisses me off too.
The old rules are gone, these days a penalty is given at the refs discretion meaning the penalty is given to the attacking side for the defenders Crowding the play the ball. I have seen around 4 games this year where that is the case, yet a stack more not given, the other problem is if the play the ball player pushes the marker away, then he can get penalised as you are not supposed to interfere with the play the ball.
In the end it depends on what colour glasses the whistler has on.
I am even more sick of this after the Newcastle game. It's so annoying that Parramatta don't cheat like this. We might as well, just about every other team does this stuff.
For a good laugh watch Dallin watene-zelezniak, he knows what he is doing. Every time he plays the ball he runs forward and takes out the effectiveness of the markers. The refs have no idea that markers can't be interfered with. It's weird, surely they would know the rules.
