Mark Gasnier as assistant coach

The rebuilding needs to start somewhere. Like it or not BA won't get sacked but if he still has one quarter of a brain left he'll realise he needs new assistant coaches.

I think Mark Gasnier would make a very good assistant if he harbours any desire to pass on his knowledge. He's smart, he commands attention from those around him, and he's a winner. A fresh mind is exactly what we need and Gasnier would help out our attack immensely.

As a left wing option, I'd also suggest Michael Ennis as an assistant. He's another winner who has footy smarts and a toughness about him that would rub off on the players.

  • Wtf... how much have you drank today?

    Gasnier ?? Ennis?? FFS...

May as well have Cayless and Burt
  • I like Gasnier. He has shown he has a lot of footy smarts on Fox and we could do a lot worse.

    Thumbs up from me.

  • I personally think Fui Fui should be assist coach
    • Or Carl Webb

  • Either one would bring a competitive edge. They both know what winning looks and feels like. None of our current coaching staff have that.

  • Gasnier has been very impressive on fox sports and definitely reads a game well.  He is also very at analysing tactics so appears he would be a very good assistant coach or part of coaching staff.

  • The bloke who’d make a great assistant coach would be Mick Ennis. He has the best football brain out of any commentator I’ve heard and the fact he was a sheer competitor would bode well in the coaching ranks. It’s there for all to see in his current job he’s a great communicator and a club that’s struggled in the hooking department he’d be an astute addition even in a part time role he’d have a lot to offer.
  • Just delete this website lmfao
  • These blokes are commanding big money to do fox. They would not be prepared to give that up for the stress and pressure of coaching nrl particularly with a basket case club like ours .

Buderus would be ideal as well . Loved him as a player
  • Absolutely.. Both great suggestions but think maybe is tied up with a role at saints I’ve read somewhere.
Personally would I’d really love Buderus as well... worked with juniors, brains and gosh couldnt our hookers use his mentoring.
