Manu Ma'u and Tim Mannah - Training 3rd September

Before I comment on these two, I will add that Parra trained for the use of the shot clock today. Interesting to see how this will play out in the game. Now onto Manu Ma'u. I cannot praise this bloke enough. We all saw that he sustained an injury on Saturday, but he is busting his arse to be fit for this last game. As the squad trained, there he was pushing himself with fitness work to try to make it onto the field. This is one tough bloke. He is typical of blokes now wearing the blue and gold that demand to be picked when it would be easy to sit out a game or two. There is no expectation on him. He wants to be there.I must mention Tim Mannah.Today I watched training in the company of a couple of my 1eyed brothers. As players and staff moved past our vantage point virtually all say a quick g'day. Mannah stops, says g'day and shakes hands with each of us. This simple gesture says plenty about how this bloke values Parramatta supporters. Have to respect the man.See you all at the game on Sunday.

  • Cheers sixties. Will be there with the old man to give Ricky a serve!

    • I'll be with you. Not that I hate Ricky. His departure was great for us.
  • Mannah has been playing some good footy of late, back to the leg grind with 2-3 tacklers on him like we saw a couple of years ago and quick play the balls.

Best ever eel by a cun tree mile.

    • I voted for him in the Members choice voting. Any bloke who makes the tackles and yardage that he does on a regular basis is one tough player.
  • Yep, I'm coming down from Bateau bay with my missus n 2 young kids, my mum n dad & my sister her hubby n 2 kids. We're all coming down on the train early should be a great day & I might just give Ricky a sledge or 2

    • oh no! I've been snapped in the background of one of the photos.
  • champion bloke on and off the field

  • i dont understand why sanke hates mannah with a passion

    • I think he's coming around to Tim the player but he doesn't like him as Captain, fair enough but we have been limited for choices and he's 100% B&G.

Tim had a couple of avg yrs around his brothers illness and death, but I always understood that he'd struggle. Thankfully he's back to his best and that pretty good at chewing up the metre and his defence isn't bad either.
    • Timmy stared in the passion didn't he?

"It was. Mainly because Read came off as a total fuckwit. While it's nice to see (most of) the media on our side in this case, it;s really hard not to be."
