  • The rumours are from Snake. If he says it enough times he believes it to be true.

  • SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Throughout the week your columnist received several questions on Twitter about the future of Eels skipper Tim Mannah.

A rumour page has claimed Mannah will retire at the end of the year but such talk couldn’t be further from the truth.

The veteran forward has told this column the rumour is false and asked that we set the record straight.

Mannah signed a new deal with the Eels in December of last year, which keeps him in the blue and gold until the end of 2019.

Ignore the rumours and rest assured that Mannah intends to see out his contract.

Meanwhile, when the Eels announced the signing of Kirisome Auva’a, they didn’t clarify how long the deal was for.

While Auva’a has been listed as off-contract, he signed a two-year-deal and will be at the club next season.

    • Yes thanks Kase think this puts it to bed for the time being.....
    • LOLL

    • Yes because foxsports.com.au have never been wrong in the past.

He may or may not retire before the end of his contract but this post means nothing
    • Is this from the same people who were "setting the record straight" and stating Moses wasn't seeking an early release and was going to see out his contract with the Tigirls before coming to PARRA next year.

  • Wow a rumour started here has spread like wildfire. How clever! This site is trash.
  • Snake, "rest assured that Mannah intends to see out his contract", good effort mate but you'll need to try something else.
