I never liked Mannah as on field captain. He doesn't fill the players minds with a true belief that they can win clutch games that go down to the wire. Because he's not a super star and hasn't got the resume behind him. Foran on the other hand ticks all the boxes to make the players truly believe in what he's telling them to do.
Mannah was only ever a captain for to the safety of his personality, he was never gonna make the club look bad, he sets a good level headed culture tone for the club. To lead by example on and off the field personality wise, dicipline wise and for that he's done a great job. But now we need more than that.
Foran is that next level, who provides all that mannah used to provide for us and more!
Mannahs perfect role is to be te fave of the club over all. The spokes person for the club in general.

Second in charge to Foran on field due to Forans resume, superior on field leadership and ability to create belief lead the eels to victory from the jaws of defeat.
I think this is the perfect shuffle for parramatta. We are well organised now. Plus, Foran as on field captain, Spearheading the eels on field image will surely make the eels more attractive to free agents in 2017.
Ppl want to come to play under Foran, Not mannah.
Ppl want to come to a club that looks like it has stability, and mannah is a great piece for club stability image. He is a good person, loyal, has a level head, would never put the club in jeapordy and will hopefully one day be a board member.
