Manly name side to take on the Eels

Former Eel Joe Galuvao will likely come into the Manly side if George Rose is suspended, while a backline shuffle will see another ex-Eel Tony Williams moved out to the wing.

Rose is facing a week off if he accepts a guilty please or two weeks if he attempts to fight the charge. Manly are still deciding which path to take and have named the front rower in their side. However, Joe Galuvao has been added to an extended bench.

To counter the loss of Brett Stewart, Manly have moved Chris Bailey from the second row to the centres, shifted Michael Robertson to the back and put Tony Williams onto the wing. Shane Rodney moves from the interchange bench to the second row in place of Bailey.

Prop Matt Cross comes into the side.

  • I cant believe Kite escaped suspension,it was a swinging arm and it broke the guys nose. Not only that he was on report for the same thing earlier in the game.
  • If they bash us like they bashed the Tigers, they will put 50 on us!

Traditionally we don't handle it very well when teams out enthuse us, hopefully with the loss of Stewart and Rose we can keep up with them.
  • Stewart is out for 20 weeks!
  • I don't want to be overly confident, but I rate the Eels team better than Manly. Well at least on paper with the exception of Watmough.....he is a great player. Parra better lift for this one.......it's our house where the game will be played.
  • Bit harsh on Soward mate. He might be a little pretentious & niggly from time to time, but at least the bloke plays clean.

I'm surprised to see Kite there. Another year of inconsistent panel decisions I fear.
  • Man the titans outclassed the rabbitohs much bigger pack just have to play our natural game, offloads and getting it to hayne and tahu
  • Our pack will need to be aggressive against Manly. If we fail to do so, Manly will outscore us.
