A MAN who passed a note to a stranger saying his pregnant wife had been sexting another man says he has no regrets, amid claims he may have put the woman at risk of abuse.

Michigan man Lyle was at a Detroit Lions gridiron game when he spotted the heavily pregnant woman in front of him sending romantic text messages to another man, while sitting next to her partner.

Lyle says the man was clearly suspicious, trying to catch a glimpse of the woman’s phone.

On a Facebook post which has since gone viral, Lyle said the woman “who looked about eight months pregnant” was texting “I wish I was with you all day” and “I will see you as soon as I am done with him” to a man named Jason.

So Lyle — who admits he was tipsy — decided to tell the man his wife was cheating.

He wrote out a note saying what he’d witnessed to the man at the end of the game.

“I simply waited for him to exit and stopped him in front of his woman and handed him a piece of paper and said “I don’t know you and you don’t know me, read this when you get home, TRUST ME”, wrote Lyle. “He looked at me confused and said “okay”.”

While some see him as a good Samaritan, Lyle has faced criticism from people who say he had no right to get involved in two strangers’ relationship, or that he was putting the woman and her unborn baby at risk if the man is abusive. Others said the pair could have been brother or sister, or wonder if the whole things is a giant hoax.

Lyle says he was motivated to intervene after the woman made a snide remark about the size of her partner’s manhood.

When another spectator complained that the portion of fries was too small, the woman fired back “It’s okay, I’m (used) to small things.”

“I doubt any woman who fears getting beat by her husband will speak that way and degrade him like she did or spend over 20 minutes texting the man RIGHT BESIDE her “abusive” man,” Lyle told Mad World.

He says the pair were obviously a couple, not brother and sister, and that the man kept trying to sneak glances at the woman’s phone, which she kept tilted away from him.

“I don’t regret a damn thing, well except the fact that I didn’t leave anything for him to be able to contact me on,” he insists.

  • I find this one completely screwed. If it had of been a woman telling another woman she was being cheated on, the man would be the one getting blasted no doubt, what changes?

  • I think he was fair enough to say something. If it turns out that she wasn't doing the wrong thing then there would be no problem and they probably just screwed the letter up and threw it in the bin. But if she was up to no good, the poor bugger has a right to know.

  • I guess you wouldn't bother watching the game if you supported the Lions.

Expecting both to get better as the season goes on . Game is too quick for the best of middles at the moment . "
