MALONEY & LATIMORE

I know I could write a blog here about ALL the players Parra have developed and then let go, but did anyone see the Warriors v Brisbane game? Maloney and Latimore were carving up.

I always thought that letting Maloney go was a mistake. Latimore I wasn't so sure about, and he probably just has had a good day, but I feel that Maloney will show how good he is at the Warriors

  • Latimore was a passenger today. Did nothing great at all

moloney was great, but get over it he left 4 years ago as a 18 yr old!!!

I'm sick of threads saying "we should kept", "we shouldn't have signed" blah blah

of course we should have kept michael witt, maloney, Tim smith, Riddell, Wade mckinnon, Kingston, latimore, gualovo, Williams

but then we wouldn't have Hayne, Reddy, Tahu, morts, mannah, keating, poore, Mateo and burt

everyone get the f**k over it and support the team we DO have, because they the ones capable of winning us a premiership!!
  • Maloney left 2 years ago. I remember he played in Wenty in 2008.
  • Hear hear. And my great grandmother's bridge team would've beaten the Broncos today, so let's not get too carried away.
  • And what's he done since then?? Played a handful of games for the storm and now nz. He has had 1 good game in his career (today) and now it's like "why'd we let him go??"

simple answer - cos what we have now is better!!!
  • I didn't see this game, but Latimore's stats didn't look overly impressive. Packer on the other hand - there's now a talent.

Just watched the highlights and good on James. Cleary looks like he is doing a fantastic job; ie playing to his sides strengths. They have a pretty quick side so he looks to have them throwing the ball around and thats going to suite Maloney because he always had a great running game but not so great on the playmaking side. Good move I think throwing Hohaia back to full back so he can chime in and lay on a couple of those passes he threw without having too much responsibility. Got to say I thought Warriors would struggle without a recognised playmaker but Cleary doing what Anderson did last year and coming up with a style of play that suits his roster.

I don't think we've done that yet. How good was the Warriors first try. I'm looking forward to us getting back to that kind of free-rolling play.
