This is an amazing stat for a player who many thought, including myself, shouldn't be anywhere near the 17 on his current form. Nearly 200m in 40 minutes has to be some kind of record. He also topped the meters gained in the match by any player Congrats to Makahesi.
How did this happen? I'll have to watch the replay again because I really didn't notice his dominance in the middle. Hope he continues with this type of attitude well done.

Definitely a huge effort from Makatoa.
Kudos to him on a massive effort.
Maka and Greig had career best games but they have to back that up before I get to excited
Maka not only made great meters his efforts in defence were outstanding too.
I think that's his go, to be our defensive hit man off the bench
He might do a lot of metres however he seldom breaks the line of defence and never has any offloads in his game. I assume however he's following the coach instructions and that's why he keeps getting selected
How many bench props in the nrl break the line and offload??
1) Makatoa
Hahaha...fickhead.
You just answered the exact opposite of what you were saying he never does.
Maybe you need to go and have a deep dive into his stats and see what he brings and some perspective to what his job is, every team needs a tradesman who turns up and does his job - make his tackles and make his runs with minimal errors.
maka isn't the flashy one with off loads and highlight reels but I feel he has always done a job....definitely not a starter but a solid enough bench player.
Great game by our forwards all round but man were the knights woeful. Credit where Credit is due but makatoa has had plenty of opportunity to show what he is capable of and this game was an exception compared to all his others. Grieg has been improving every week so hopefully he can back this up.
