Maika Sivo- The Revelation

What a find he has been. Kudos to BA for that. The Panthers must be kicking themselves for having him stolen from under their noses.

He does remind us of Semi and like Semi destructive running wingers are greatly sort. If I'm not mistaken we've signed him for close to nothing (80K a season I think, this year and next).

We should upgrade and re-sign extending him for another 4 year minimum, otherwise the big boys of the NRL or even French Rugby will come after him and offer money we can't.

Be smart Parra! Re-sign him now. He'll only get better!

    • lol. You're a funny guy sometimes.

Fijians have been good for us.

In general they are good blokes who wear their hearts on their sleeves and are grateful people.

    • is that another big dick reference?

  • They should have given Semi the keys to the club. Let's hope they don't muck this one up. Waqa Blake ( if) and Maika would be an interesting combo.

  • I said it in another blog about Sivo a feww weeks back, every club should have scouts over in Fiji looking for 2 big athletic wingers. They are dead set falling off trees like coconuts.

      • It's all those fast twitch fibres in their muscles. They're just gifted.

    • Gus is usually very astute. I don't know how he fucked up this one letting it land on his head! :)

He renewed Mansour for 600K and now they want to get rid of him. He's earning too much, doing too little.

      • I think Gus wanted to keep him, but at the time he had two internationals in Mansour & DWZ. Letting him go was probably the right decision at the time, but it just shows how imperfect R&R is. It's really just educated guess work.

    • That was an unfortunate choice of words there Brett.

What was interesting to me was that our pre season trial with Penrith was streamed. Gould was one of the commentators. When Sivo scored in the trial, Gould did not know who he was.

I thought that was extraordinariy given he had the final say on all things recruitment and retention at that time.

      • I said like coconuts. I didn't call them coconuts.

      • Don't know how much of an impact Gus has been having on R & R in the past year given the board overruled him regarding Ivan Cleary last year.
