Just rewatched some of the weekend game and some of Mahoney decision making was very poor particularly at the end. 1 play in particular was stupid play by a dummy half. Mahoney looked and saw Moses set up for the field goal on the right after a quick play the ball by Nathan Brown. Instead of giving it to Moses he turned to his left went to give it to brown who didnt want it and definitely didn't call it as he was standing hands on hips and was looking at Moses. Reed then stands around for a second or 2 before spinning around and giving to Moses who has defence all over him forcing him to run instead of kicking field goal with time and space. We lost ground and Moses was forced to pass the ball moving us away from the centre of the field to ensure he didn't get tackled and could have a shot. By then it was tackle 5 and all the defence was charging up giving Moses little time and he missed.
I am sure tackle 4 was the play we practiced for field goals as Nathan Brown has fast play the ball (Jnr would have been set up if playing) and we had kicking option on either side of the ruck. It was also on 4th tackle when defences less likely to charge up to defend the kick.
Is there an issue between Moses and Mahoney as just don't see why he didn't give to Moses on the 4th when it was set up so well. Also is that part of the issues around Mahoney signing elsewhere as alluded to by various people recently

This has happened twice now, the other instance being the Storm game. Where there's smoke there's fire?
Mahoneys bombed 40/20 attempt was also a real momentum killer...
There's no issue, just a mix up
Brett if there really is no issue, then it shows that Mahoney suffers from poor decision making when under pressure, which is an issue.
I think it could be Mahoney trying to set up something that is not on as a world class hooker thinking he can set something up when all he needs to do most of the time is be basic
He made a mistake under a pressure, it happens to the best. Contrary to popular opinion, there has never been a perfect Rugby League player.

In the interim you should be encouraging Brissy to come back, he adds more personality than his replacement...what's his name "space cadet" or something.
