yeah so good so far
u gotta feel for our halves getting different hookers each week
i like what im seeing
Well sometimes the same hooker week after week can get boring.... oh you are talking about on the field
Whats great is hes getting 1st grade experience this year which will put him miles ahead for next season.
Im not expecting him to be run on hooker next year but i expect him to be our 2nd stringer and handy fill in.
I still think we need to buy a good rake.
Sounds reasonable...except he seems better than our first line hookers
Interesting Snake. We have been calling for BA to blood some youngsters all season and now he has unearthed a beauty. Your suggesting we don’t start him? I think we go for it. He’s good enough. Let’s back him
Through the grapevine, there is more leaking news coming out of Melbourne that Cameron Smith might be up for changing clubs and if this is true, I wonder if Brad Arthur would get in his ear and bring him to Parra and our new Coliseum because if he and the Eels are successful playing for two more seasons before his retirement, particularly if we win a premiership over the next two seasons, it probably would make Cameron Smith the greatest RL player of all time. Cameron would do wonders for our club, particularly with Norman, Moses, Gutho and Hayne staying on, we will have an incredible focused spine. After what happened this season, Norman, Moses, Hayne and others will want to kick ass all season and who better to lead them out front and make sure it all happens than Cameron Smith. He may even come on board much cheaper, say around $800k to $900k. And Reed Mahoney and Kyle Schneider will benefit immensely from having Cameron around. Take all this as just a dream for now but the rumours seem to be getting stronger.
His passing was crisp and fast, allowing Norman and Moses to collect the ball on the run and adding some momentum to our runs instead of being flat footed from first receiver.
He's only gonna get better from a full preseason but have no faith in Arthur fully developing him though, hope proven wrong.
and you gotta feel for our hooker for having such dumb halves to learn from. Young Reed had to repeatedly ask our play makers "whar are we doing". The poor guy refused to take the tap with just 2 seconds left on the clock and looked he was worried he might get into trouble if he just went ahead and did whatever he wanted to do.
As soon as we were awarded the penalty, Normz & Mitch should have got straight into Reeds' ear and told him what they wanted to do. For example, "just tap it & take the tackle or kick it over the sideline". Or, "tap it & pass to me so I can take a stab at a one pointer". The game was held up for around 15 seconds because of the lack of communication.
Eventually, both our halves went up to Reed to whisper about what they were going to do like as if we were gonna put on some kind of spectacular play finish the game.
i agree
