The NRL will promote player welfare but im concerened about the fact that they are expecting so much wet weather for Brisbane for the week and across the weekend and they are going to play 8 games at the same venue. Parra are the seventh game on Sunday afternoon. The ground will be chopped up. Gee I hope we dont suffer any injuries because of the condition of the ground. I heard some coomentary on channel nine Sunday Footy show about the state of Panthers stadium last Friday night with all 3 grades played on the same ground. There was some conversation about preserving the quality of the NRL games by only playing NRL games and no lower grades.

The grounds are way better than ever before so they should be able to handle the lower grades without issue.
8 games at the one ground with wet conditions could be a concern. At this stage the NRL have no option but to play all games. My guess is they're just hoping for the best
If the ground gets churned up we might see some mud the game needs some mud like we had at Cumberland Oval in the olden days.
Lol Sluggy yes and if only pigs knew how to play rugby league it would be perfect . Do you remember any of those muddy games in particular? I never went to games very often back at the former Cumberland oval . .......................And what about if the 8 games next weekend were played in
the mud like that 1960's grand final at the SCG when Saints v South's ( Famous photo Provan & Churchill).
I did a blog about four years ago "what's missing from today's games is mud" we need a new mud blog. Provan and Summons Driz

Yes that is short highlight from 1950 test match versus Poms where commentator mentions Ron Robert's lifting Churchill on his shoulders . Muddy conditions " ball like a cake " , he says I think . I don't recall Ron Roberts though .
It was that muddy when the crowd ran on the field four of them were never seen again.
Lol . Went down like the Titanic did they ?
Creepy
