I know it's easy to say now but we were doomed as a team after the 66-10 lose against the Storm
We had a great start to the season and looked like genuine contenders ( like we didn't last year and also this year)
A mate of mine is a Saint supporter and we went to the triple header with great hope of at least one of our teams winning
Saints got done by the Warriors and we all know what happened to the Eels.
I honestly believed we were a chance but alas was another false dawn.
I walked out of that game with 20 minutes to go as did most of the Parra fans. As we walked and talked there was universal agreement that we were a one dimensional side and Brad had taken us as far as he could but it was a task beyond his skill set.
2-3 weeks later the board extended his deal.
After what I witnessed live I was shocked and livid. What did they see that I didn't. This would not happen in any other professional organisation anywhere in the world.
Can you imagine the EPL, NFL,NBA or any othe major sporting organisation extend a coach after that result.
Everyone couldn't believe Anthony Griffith got sacked by Gould when they were running 4th. He realised something that our board doesn't. He was never going to win the Panthers a premiership, Just like Saints did with Nathan Brown. They both can get you to a competitive level however they will never get you over the line. Brad is definately in that category.
We will make the finals this year which is more than 8 other teams can say however if anyone truly believes that we will make a dent in the finals or just making the finals is exceptable you are kidding yourself.
Changes need to be made to the ENTIRE coaching staff before the window closes if it hasn't already.

I guess we all have a different tipping point, mine how now been reached. Goodbye BA and Thankyou for your service.
I personally was devastated when the club extended him so I hear ya. He's been given the benefit of the doubt for many years by the club. Salary cap scandal, training facilities, not enough resources etc. But these have all been rectified, and we are still in the same place. At the end of the day, you have to realise that this guy cannot take you any further, and I think even the most ardent of supporters of BA would have to nod their head at that.
Ray Hadley said this morning on 2GB, Eels will never win a comp with this bloke. I think that 99% of the fan base would agree.
