He has every right to earn as much money as he can while he still can. Have some faith in the bloke that he does have the desire to right this wrongs of a poor season last year. There are bigger problems with our roster besides Michael Jennings.

If he performs well on the field this season then its money well spent! Dont think however, hes worth the $800k! It depends on how he goes this year. Defensively hes great but offensively he has his moments.

Parra isn't really a club which has been able to attract top line players or compete with top clubs in recruitment. For that reason they either speculate on young players and pay overs, or give older player extra year or 2 which both carry risks.
If the team performed better as a whole, jennings would have had better opportunities in attack and would have been better supported in defence so he didn't feel pressured to make the rash decisions.
For that reason I am interested to see how he goes this year and if the addition if Paulo helps our foward pack gain momentum, I feel jennings although still being paid overs can contribute to the side and help guide some of the younger players.
I know how dare a player at the end of his career with time left to play good footy take up the best possible option for him and his family.

Player options are just plain dumb especially for 800k and an outside back who will not pass to boot, the club screwed it up.
what would you do if your employer said you can test the market or take $300000 more to stay and take the option.
