Lussick returns to the Eels

Joey Lussick has agreed to join the Parramatta Eels for the remainder of the 2023 NRL season until the end of the 2025 season.

The hooker will return to the Club after leaving at the end of 2021 to join St Helens in the English Super League.

General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Joey will add quality and depth to our roster. He knows our systems and coaching style and will fit in right where he left off.”

Joey has played 120 games in the NRL and Super League and will join the Eels at training this week.

  • Good signing.

  • Welocme back to Lussick, even better that he is here until the end of 2025.

  • Excellent

  • Perfect!

  • Excellent- should never have let him go

    • Well had we signed him for 2022 as well as 2021, he would have stayed once Mahoney signed for Canterbury.

  • Wow signing until 2025, nice. That gives us three hookers for the next two years at least; Lussick, Hands and Arthur.

Then 2026, Lussick will be 30, can move forward with either Hands or Arthur.

    • Finally some good hooking depth. I think we continue with hands now with Lussick playing off the bench

  • He's Back, will he be named this round to play off the bench. Me thinks so.

  • Fantastic news.

Now all we need is another forward and a quality outside back.
