The Parramatta Eels will celebrate Luke Burt Family Day with fun and activities in the stadium precinct before the game, and all fans will be given the rare opportunity to run onto the Parramatta Stadium field at the conclusion of the match.
Local junior Brendan Oake will play his first game of the year on Sunday for the Pirtek Parramatta Eels after coach Daniel Anderson named the Cabramatta product on the bench in place of Shane Shackleton.
Shackleton has been ruled out for the rest of the year after sustaining a severe hamstring injury in the Eels' first clash of the season against the St George Illawarra Dragons and will remain in hospital until the end ofthe week.
Coach Daniel Anderson is disappointed for Shackleton after a strong pre-season, but believes Oake will be effective from the bench.
"It is a terrible and horrific injury for Shane, and to be out for the season so early on isdevastating. It does open the door for Brendan though," Anderson said.
It's a greatopportunity for him as he has not played first grade since Round 11 lastyear so I'm looking forward to his contribution to the team."
Centre Joel Reddy has been named in the starting side after pulling out of last week's game during the warm-up with a leg injury. Krisnan Inu has again been named on an extended bench.
