Hey guys. I know its not footy related but lost a close and good mate today of 12 years. My dog nova. from the day we got him as a family he was always with me on the lounge whenever the might eels played. He is now up with the gods and hoping he keeps watching the boys from up there. Apologies in advance for the post

Mate
sorry for your loss . They are truely mans best mate . Loyal never judged you , always there when you need them . Hope you fill that void Mate
No good mate.
Tough when your good buddie that you shared so many adventures departs.
Don't be apologising dude, shitty thing losing a pooch... I had to put down my Shep x Rott about a year ago and the other Shep before him. I'll shed more tears over the loss of one of my dogs than I would over most people. Sorry for the loss but time will heal, always does eventually...
I think Know how you feel i had to put one off my dogs down two weeks ago i cry like a girl
Sorry for your loss Crowe . Nova was obviously a special animal and very close to you .
No need to apologise mate. There are few things more painful than losing a beloved pet/friend. They are part of the family and part of you and the loss is heartbreaking. Put up a photo in a frame in a prominant place in the house just as you would any other family member. It will give you a warm feeling once the pain eventually subsides. I still have photos on the wall and every now and them give them a pat as I walk past. Put a photo of Nova in the loungeroom so you can both still watch the Eels. Let time pass
Feel for you mate - it’s a terrible experience, such is life.
I’ve had to put down a few in my life and it never gets an easier.
They are the best. Much better than humans. They are pure at heart. Always happy to see you, they love you as you are and are always there for you when no one else is.
When the pain subsides buy another one to fill the void and learn to love again bud.
Totally understand how you feel mate. No shame. They become part of your family and life. Been there and done that multiple times and it is just horrible. Chin up!
Sorry to hear about your loss
Feel for you mate. We lost our 2 dogs in the last 12 months. Both were 15 and the house isn't the same without them. It's truly heart breaking as dogs are just the most amazing creatures.
If it gives you any solace. Think of the 12 great years you had with Nova rather than the sad part at the end.
