Losing control

Hey guys, just thought i ask and give an opinion of the NRL. Don't murder me lol.Is Todd greenturd and other management for the NRL losing the game and fans? I'm just seeing headlines about coaches walking or being sacked while contract still stands, same goes for players. Different refs didn't rules, changing of rules, favouring sides, allowing certain stupid crap to be overlooked, prices of food/drinks or tickets etc. What are your thoughts? Sorry had to vent.

  • While Greenberg is running the game you can be shore the game will die.I know atleast several ex players that don't really watch the footy anymore. The refs, bunker, prices etc are killing the game.
It also doesn't help when all these gambling degenerates ram the betting down your throats every day.
    • I’m with you on the gambling bastards, I smoke winfields which is my problem but I worry about the kids picking up gambling habits from watching footy
  • I have no dramas with coaches and player swaps. Adds to the excitement. These are up to the club and player unions. Greenberg and NRL should focus on referees and support game day entertainment and ticket prices.
  • The elephant in the room is the seemingly bottomless salary caps that some clubs have. This is alienating the vast majority of rugby league heartland. It would seem there are a few clubs with a lot of power over the NRL and they are too blind or stupid to see the damage this is causing.
    • Supporters are waking up . There’s certainly starting to be a groundswell of support for transparency in the salary cap. Journalists are talking more about it and 360 mentioned tonight fans are asking for it in their fan forum out tomorrow in the Tele.
People are turning away from the games and to everyone you talk to who doesn’t support the chosen few clubs it pisses them off more then the referees. The NRL who are a reactive administration will have to make changes if it becomes noisy enough.
  • Fuck the storm, roosters and all the other cheating cats.

Alienating the die hard league fans to look after the few wanks. This game is dying a slow death.

    • That's two punches.

  • They aren't just losing fans but a lot of players will continue to move onto other codes.
  • Greenturd is the worst sports administrator I've ever seen. A dangerous mix of ego & arrogance combined with stupidity & ignorance. The game has gone downhill at a rate of knots since he took charge and it will continue to do so. Nothing but a politician with a closet full of skeletons who is making decisions about this game we love based on how it will effect him. There is a shit list no doubt a mile long - Barba, Tandy, Dogs cap, referenced in our 2016 cap issue, lack of action on player managers etc... as soon as something points back to or implicates him it disappears.

We don't have a fair comp, far from it. The cap and TP system is an absolute mess, the officiating and his multi-million $ Flunker is a joke, contracts are a joke, juniors are struggling, AFL / Soccer is taking hold and then on top of all that there is a complete refusal to listen to fans or to actually learn something from other codes around the world. The NRL doesn't need to be Robinson Crusoe here... other codes here and every US sport contain multiple elements that are far better than how the NRL does things but still this fool does nothing.

Teflon Todd Slimeberg is about himself 100%... he couldn't give a toss about the game. His role should be to manage and provide for the game but instead he clearly thinks the game exists to provide for him and his cronies.
