Lewis is a fantastic player and I wouldn't object to having him at the club if he did sign but with the amount of young second-rowers do we need a player the age of Lewis? We have two very good senior players in Maitua and Smith and with the young talent in: Paulo, Ryan, O'Hanlon, Brien, Eisenhuth, Tanginoa, Masinamua and Pauli (possibly Loko if he makes the transition to second-row/lock) do we really need another second rower taking up as much cap space that Lewis would? There's enough there to have both middle forwards and edge forwards.
I know that Tanginoa, Masinamua and Pauli are all still 1-3 years away from playing first grade but still Lewis has another 4-6 years in him and I believe that money could be invested elsewhere
I know someone who knows Mitch and his family really well.
They told me a month or so ago that he wanted to go to a club with a coach who can take him to the next level.
Didn't surprise me at all to hear the rumour on The Late Mail.
You can be sure he won't come to us!
The reason we never believe is that every player we sign, you say we offered 500 000 bucks, jarryd hayne, will hopoate, sandow, darcy lussick and luke lewis.
So according to your logic, we have spent 2.5 million bucks on 5 players, and have to spend 1.5 on a further 12 players.
"There is a continuance of critism of our halves, I think they did a fair job, especially Joash who did a lot of defensive work and was in most of our plays....I think Joash may not be the long term answer with a marquee signing required with our…"
"I think similarly but should be trying to snap up some of the unsigned young players out there looking for an opportunity.
Get them in now and give them a crack at the first grade jerseys straight away. "
"I must say Wiz, you have both come back much leaner than before; and I hope in the travels you have visited some past Alumni - Tony Bongo, Brett Alllen, Top Dawg.....and the like"

This is a pretty interesting year signings-wise. Shame we're not really involved in it.
Pearce to Penrith? Or Thurston to Penrith and Pearce to Cowboys?
