Lets be real guys? This is not JA's fault. He 18 years old and is no where near NRL standard. It is not his fault he is playing. I have been vocal on how poor he has been, but I think it is time we stopped bagging JA. His defence against the Roosters was actually very solid. He had no direct influence on a try we conceeded against the Roosters. Yes, his attack is poor, but he is 18 years old and should of not been selected there anyway. BA needed to take responsibility and pick W Smith. JA's career is being damaged as a result. BA fault.

I'm sorry, but if he is in first grade there are expectations to perform. He faces scrutiny the same way all professional athletes do. I agree it's BA's fault for picking him but if he's picked he needs to perform! Simple as that.
His record this year is 2 wins and 4 losses! YIKES! In a dominant parra team that win roughly 75% of games! Ouch that's a bad stat!
You can't be in first grade and then make excuses as to why you can't perform properly.
If you can't perform, you shouldn't be in first grade. It actually is simple.
Hayne torched the NRL at 18. So did Sam Walker, who is much smaller than Jake.
I reckon it is quite "as simple as that. What tree are you up Chris Pix. They reckon you shouldn't Pix the fruit of some trees, Apparently it can send you blind.
And I will add of at laest 2 of thos losses we were expected to win handsomely. Don't bother splitting straws with me on that either.
I agree. He is a kid. It is not his fault that he has been brought on too early. I remember after his debut people saying how well he did and he had so much potential. Andrew Johns believes he has what it takes. He needs more time to develp and also bulk up. No need to throw the kid on the svrap heap. He is not at an NRL level at present. His Father is the one that has pursued this path and I think it may well have done more damage to Jake than he realises.
Absolutely true EE
i think it's another perfect example of brads inability to think flexibly .all he can see is " helping his son get opportunities" nothing else , the damage this could cause by putting him under pressure prematurely 🤔
Totally agree EE and Carlo!
Cant imagine the amount of pressure on that kid trying to do the impossible for a Dad he loves as well. Run the damn team when he just trying to learn himself
look what the old man has done :(
I could be way off but I think the only reason JA played against the Roosters was because his dad didn't have it in him to drop him.
With Moses back this week that decision is now out of his hands.
That's exactly what I thought BEM
Oh please ! Your breaking me up. Grow up kid, life's about having shit put on you. It's how you deal with it that determines your worth.
Mate there is a reason you don't see halves debut when they are 18. D Brown had the experience of Moses to lead the team, Walker has Drew Hutchinson, while JA had DB who is a youngester as well. Blaming JA is just taking your frustration out at BA.
